Meet the Crew

Captain Greg Smith

I grew up in the high sierras near Lake Tahoe skiing, white water kayaking, and fishing. My parents had a small Mariana in one of our local lakes so I was on the water from the day I was born.  After college, I went to Alaska to pursue my flying career as a bush pilot and fishing guide. After several years of bush flying in airplanes, I transferred into helicopters and began flying for the US Forest Service as a fire pilot. 25 years later I hung up my flight suit and helmet and traded them in for flip flops and board shorts. I began a charter fishing and Island Hoppin business here in St Thomas and continued with my love of fishing and life on the water. Fast forward through hurricanes and pandemic’s and we’re happy to say we’re still here and still enjoying our beautiful Islands. Whether you want to fish or just go for a swim with turtles, we look forward to showing you the best day of your vacation on our beautiful blue waters.

Captain Adam Shuemaker

Adam was born and raised in Paducah, Ky and spent most of his time on his parent’s boat on Kentucky Lake. This is where his love for the water and boating begun, as he has been captaining the family boat since he was 13 years old. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in land development engineering/construction management in 2013 and moved to St Thomas 3 months later. He has been working on these beautiful Caribbean waters ever since and has found his happy place. He truly enjoys showing guests all the beauty our islands have to offer, both below the sea and above. He takes a lot of pride in all aspects of what it means to be a captain and he believes it shows from the bow to stern.
